Max’s mother (Toni Collette), father (Adam Scott), sister Stefania LaVee Owen, and other relatives must put aside their differences and work together to survive.
The film’s first part had some great jump scares and was also hilarious. The film’s initial focus on humor was a shame because it had some funny ideas—like making a demon emerge from an empty bag or having one appear from under Jack-in-the-box—but it quickly shifted to a horror tone.
Overall, Krampus is a fun holiday horror fantasy film that fans will love. It may not be the best 2015 picture, but it does provide a fresh perspective on the holiday season.
